Romeoville, Illinois

Romeoville, Illinois is the perfect blend of a historic &M Canal Town and a nostalgic Route 66 Town. Located just 40 minutes southwest of Chicago, Romeoville is easy to access by car or Metra train. 

To commemorate the Route 66 Centennial, the Village of Romeoville is working on a new attraction that may include elements from all eight states along the route, a themed sculpture, native plantings, and open space.

The new Route 66 stop will be located at the corner of Route 53 and Montrose in conjunction with the adjacent park space. The village's existing Veterans Memorial will be relocated to a more expansive area at the Village Hall and will feature new elements.
