These vibrant 3D Route 66 shield sculptures have become fan favorites for travelers and road trip enthusiasts, offering picture-perfect moments that celebrate the nostalgia and charm of America’s most iconic highway.
The installation is part of an ongoing initiative by Heritage Corridor Destinations, which began in 2022. Working in partnership with communities along Route 66, the organization is creating a trail of these interactive monuments stretching from Berwyn to Pontiac, enhancing the experience for those exploring “The First Hundred Miles."
Visitors can discover the exact locations of all 20 monuments—and plan their ultimate Route 66 photo tour—by downloading the Heritage Corridor Visit Widget app, available in Google Play and the App Store.
