READ ON!Get ready to soar high during the Kites in Flight Fest in Ottawa, IL. This two-day event, held from 11 am-5 pm on May 20th and 21st, is open to all ages and will feature kite demonstrations from the Chicago Kite Company. You might see giant fish, giant astronauts, a king-kong-sized gorilla, and more! Families are encouraged to bring their own kites and join in on the fun, but kites will be on sale on-site. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, this event is perfect for everyone. This event will be at Riverfront Park (400 Clinton Street).
In addition to the demonstrations, this event will feature children's live entertainment, a candy drop, a balloon artist, face painting, a dunk tank, and food and craft vendors, such as Topical Snow, Seb's Street Snacks, Shella's Egg Rolls, Keely's Castle, Aussum Dogs, and Thyme Craft Kitchen. As you partake in this annual event, take a trip to Downtown Ottawa to enjoy the endless dining options and boutique shops.
