Museums offer us a chance to learn rich history and view artifacts. Not only does the Joliet Area Historical Museum offer an in-deph look into the Joliet area's history, but they also host events to keep you entertained. From live music & happy hours to tributes & presentations, here are upcoming events that will surely pique your interest in history.
History Happy Hour:
Where: Joliet Area Historical Museum
When: Feb. 15, 2023, 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Libations, learning, & local history. Join Greg Peerbolte as he presents a lightening talk on the museum’s newest Movements Exhibit. Admission is free. Cash bar.
Great Moments in Vinyl:
Where: Joliet Area Historical Museum Indoor Auditorium
When: Feb. 17, 2023, 7pm
A tribute to U2! Doors will open at 6:15pm. A full beverage bar will be available, along with snacks/treats from GiGi’s Sweet Shoppe. Tickets are on sale now.
President's Day Celebration:

Classical Blast in Kilts!:
Where: Joliet Area Historical Museum Indoor Auditorium
When: Mar. 10, 2023, 7pm
Doors open at 6:15pm. Opening act will be former Classical Blast member David Kav, featuring music from his new EP, “Torn by the Timing Of It All.” Classical blast will follow with traditional Irish & Scottish music, songs by contemporary Irish bands, & classical music. There will be a full beverage bar, along with a snack vendor, and access to museum galleries. Tickets are on sale now.
Historic Joliet - Bringing Local History to you at the Museum:

Join the museum Sunday, March 12 as local historian Mary Beth Gannon presents “Joliet Area’s Irish History.” Learn of Joliet's Irish successes and struggles through story. Admission is free.

Doors will open at 6:15pm. Opening act with be Al Spears & Hurricane Project, followed by Dave Weld & The Imperial Flames. Two legendary blues bands! A full beverage bar will be available, along with a snack vendor and access to the museum galleries.
