The Blues is Alive - Buddy Guy Plays at The Rialto

A legend takes the stage at the legendary theater.  

What can we say about Buddy Guy?  

• When you think of Chicago Blues, you think of Buddy Guy.  
• When Rolling Stone came out with their “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time,” they thought of Buddy Guy (ranked #23).  
• When Eric Clapton thinks of Buddy Guy, he says “No matter how grat the song, or performance, my ear would always find him out.  He stood out in the mix, simply by virtue of the originality and vitality of his playing.”  That quote was taken from Eric Clapton’s speech inducting Buddy into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  

He was born in 1936, and still plays over 130 shows a year.  And, on Saturday, February 29, he takes the stage at the beautiful Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet.
